No dice. Left it parked in the garage, plugged in all night. Buttoned up the fuel filters and it fired up like a champ. Opened the garage door, jumped back in it, and it started running rough. Then it got rougher. Then died and wouldn't restart. Back to square one

I also find it very hard to believe someone would perform a $150 oil change every 3000 miles and not maintain the rest of the truck. This thing was filthy when I got it and the leather seats have been neglected. I hope I didnt buy someone elses headache...

Look into the in fuel tank mods for that thing. Sounds like a fuel issue

I wonder if the fuel pump isn't crapping out on it.
I sure don't want it to give you trouble.
Mainly because that's just gonna slow progress on the "good" truck project!

that's why I thought in tank. If the filter looked like crap what does the in tank filter(if they have one) look like. Could it be restricting the flow? I the the 7.3 electric pumps have a screen that can plug, do the 6.uhoh's have the same? I'm also going by a foggy cold induced memory so I could just be blowing smoke out my a$$

I don't know if it's a pertinent thing or not, but wasn't there a few posts on the Baro sensor causing a lot of rough running issues to no-start? Seems like air temps were the deciding factor from what I read.

If it did it when the garage was open, but not closed, that's the first thing that would come to mind. Since it sounds like it was running just fine with the garage closed up.

Any other takers on this idea?

Well I worked on it some today. Aaron said you can get to the ICP from underneath, so that's what I did. After bashing my head off the frame to be sure I was in the proper mood, I got the ICP unhooked. Turned the key, and no start. Garage door was down this time too! Lol
