That could have made a big mess

 

It almost did. The corner of the part that is spread out got hung in the pressure plate. I down shifted to 4th, started to make a turn off a two lane road on to the small one lane road my son lives on, and half way into the turn after pushing the clutch in again, I realized it wouldn't disengage and almost ran through some people's yard. That is the second clutch disc I have broken in this truck. It will NOT go back together until I can put dual disc in it.

 

RRE 2015 is in Diesel World Magazine this month if anyone is interested.

I have no idea buddy. I'm not putting it back together until I have the money to put a dual disc clutch and the trans I built back in it. this is the second disc that has broken, and the 6th time I have pulled this transmission. I tore the hybrid trans apart and put the input shaft seal in it, and have it back together and ready to go in. Just have to wait until I can save up the $1200 for the clutch now. RRE isn't looking too good at all for me right now, but I'm not giving up yet.

 

You have to come this year come on. Just kidding I know how having to save for the truck go's.

Well Iv had an eventful weekend! For our anniversary, my GF got us tickets to see the Mecum car auction in Indianapolis. It was a heck of a time! We spent all day walking and still somehow didn't see it all! Gobs of Mustangs, some one off vehicles (they had a 6 door Dmax), and tons of collectors cars. We watched a L88 Corvette roll across the block, get bid up to $525,000 and didn't meet reserve We watched two Boss 429 Mustang fastbacks sell; one for $210,000 and the other for $250,000. Insane how much money someone will spend on something to sit and look at! I was amazed to see 3 OBS' there (although half tons). Two were Flaresides and all 3 looked immaculate.

Then today we buried an electric line to our house. Were hoping to dig a water line next weekend and be moved in shortly after!

I still haven't made it back down to NC yet to get my camper. Until my truck gets fixed, I can't get the camper. Hard to tell how long it will take to save enough for a clutch, but I'm not putting it back together and have to pull it again.

 

Is that what they mean about being in between a rock and a hard spot? Wish I could help!
