Here's my excitement for the week:
Gap Fire Devours More Wildland, Growing by Thousands of Acres ? Redheaded Blackbelt
Its still a few miles north of my parents place. I'm down here doing prep work just in case. This has been the most unpredictable fire I've seen here. Some of you may remember we were on fire back in 2014. That one burned right up to my back door but it was a slow burner. The gap fire has been jumping all over the place.
We have a pretty good outlook on this side of the river. Still stressful.

They've moved a lot of assets in but it's just sooo dry up here. The area burning now is the unburned area between the two major fires in 2014 so as it expands east and west it's working into the old burn scars. Super windy today too.

I'm having trouble figuring out what I'm looking at. Was the rod just indecisive and couldn't choose which side to blow out, or was it an overachiever?
What about ragged on? I don't know your wife, but if you believe she's always the perfect 50 mph angel behind the wheel that never abuses anything, I've got a bridge I'd like to sell ya.
Of course it really shouldn't matter how she drives on something that new. Using the gas pedal as an on off switch shouldn't cause that kind of failure.
Glad to hear you got out of it without being upside down. I'd make a wise comment about the Dodge, but odds are it lasts longer than the exoboost did.

Haha, this is true... It's a good point, Phil, but I still think diesel is the better option. It's just expensive because the EPA has "stacked the deck" against diesel technology by the way they measure emissions. I'll still stick with the tried and true, partly because it works so well, but mostly because it's what I have and can afford!
Must need a decent frame mount for that. Diesel Brothers show tonight mounted a huge crane on their hopped up tow truck.
