What the heck you doing in here, man? Get Big Red headed North and GET ON THE ROAD!!

And yeah, true story about the luck you and Glenn have been having lately. Keep that stuff to yourselves because Lord knows nobody else in here wants anything to do with it!

Good luck dragging the lead sled to Aaron's too Thomas. Be careful and have a great weekend.

Oh yeah, it can get worse. I'm happy to be at the grandkids now. Today some lady decided at the last second she had to turn and slammed on her brakes. I about shi! myself, if I could have put my hands around her throat.......we all have our days, LOL I'll have some time now to fix the aux tank pump and the wiring for the Geo lights.

Saw something pretty impressive today! The guys doing drywall showed up driving a NBS F-350 CCLB 7.3L. I looked it over and thought man, this thing has quite a bit of rust. Glanced in the window and saw 607,000 on the odo. I bout crapped myself! He's got me beat by quite a bit lol.

Aaron and me were doing the math: 424 gallons of oil (@ 5k intervals) + $10 a filter = $6200

Worth every penny lol.

Figuring 18 mpg (being nice) with diesel here at $3.66 a gallon = $123,400. I'm sure it's still psi for itself several time over lol

607k! That's impressive. Goes to show these things will last and last if you maintain them.

Well it's more an issue of where to keep it when I'm not using it. Didn't think that one out. I'm just glad that someone else is going to get to enjoy it.

Figure out your problem Travis?
Not yet. It has a pretty bad miss and something is rattling inside there like it wants to escape whatever it is bolted to. I ran out of time yesterday and had to put it back together before I could check the pushrods. I started pulling the pushrods today. It got dark on me before I finished. I have 6 left to pull, but so far they're all straight. If I don't find a bent one, I'm yanking the injectors. Contribution and rotational velocity both show cylinders 3 and 8 aren't terribly happy. Temp gun says everything is pretty even, but cylinder 5 is the coldest. I'll figure it out soon enough. I just hope it isn't a bad lifter.

Better to be planned well ahead than the day before lol

I talked to the fella with the 607,600 mile truck today. He's the original owner, bought it new in 2000. He's about to put a new rear end in it next week, his 2nd one. He's had the infamous valve cover electrical stuff redone and had the tranny rebuilt (drum roll please) ONCE! I couldn't believe it. I figured he woulda had it done at least 3 times! Needless to say it's been a DANG good truck to him

No doubt about that.

Really impressive stuff with that 607k truck. I would have bet on a lot more work being done than that. And hey, doing the work that he has is still cheaper than a new one - might as well get as much out of it as you can until there's no more to get from it.

Aaron getting the camper?! He doesn't need anything more to consume his time! That 41 and the T need it all(all of the extra after his lovely ladies).

And Bill travelin' too!?

And here I am stuck fixing a burst brake line on the stupid escort this weekend. lol
But I do get to go to the Screw City Beer Festival on Saturday for freeeee! Sampling and good food. My dentist and I share a great love for craft beer so we swap samples at my dental visits and he treated me this time!
