the official OBS diesel off topic thread
^^ Actually, after reading that is what gave me the idea to do the mod lol. I just didn't go that fancy
For us that don't have ICs, it keeps oil out of the turbo and intake lol. What sold me is it stops your intake boots from becoming oil soaked and rotting away. Also, its a visual blow-by check. Its been windy here so its hard to tell
Actually Aaron, my initial idea was to run it beneath the radiator so it blows the oil on my undercarriage, but I didn't have enough hose lol! Im hoping my fancy exhaust routing blows soot on my undercarriage and assist as a rust inhibitor lol!

Well boys, I got bored today. Getting bored usually means I do something to my truck lol.
I started thinking to myself: I think I have a piece of hose of good length back in the garage. Ah heck, that's been a couple years ago when I bought that, whats the chances of finding it? After a minute or so of looking there it was! The CCV mod began.
Turns out my hose was 5/8 and the CCV was prolly a 3/4. After some coaxing, my 5/8 hose unwillingly slipped onto the 3/4 bung.
I decided to remove the odd shaped domahickey in the piece of aluminum inlet where the CCV ended. I filled the gap with a freeze plug and some JB Weld. Turns out... of course... the freeze plug I had on hand seemed pretty tight for the hole, but some excessive force drove it in. Its not coming out come hell or high water.
My routing is probably debatable, but hey, I have completed the CCV mod!

Fenders, cab, doors... The trucks body is pretty well toast lol. But it fires up every time and gets me from A to B!
I NEED to fix my door hinges. Anyone have a thread they wanna tag or tell me how to do it lol. Iv got the hardware, just not the know how. Iv seen it done once but it looks like a hassle and chances are Ill be doing it by myself. My drivers door is starting to sag so much, it wont close without slamming it or picking up on it about half the time
