the official OBS diesel off topic thread
I had the following conversation with a couple kids on my bus this morning.
8yr old: "How long till you get to retire?"
Me: "I have a ways yet to go."
6yr old: "Whats retired mean?"
8yr old: "It means you quit your job because your too old."
Me *Lauging my rear off*
Happy Friday everyone!!

I like my 5" straight pipe. I like the sound. It may be a little loud for some people. It's just personal preference.
On another note, I'm sure you guys are tired of hearing about my job situation, but things may be looking up. The company I work for has a large service area covering parts of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Right before I went to work for them in July, they bought out three other fork lift dealership/service companies, which is expanding their service area. It is actually expanding the area into southern WV, so there is a slight possibility that I may be able to work out of one of the far northern branches as a field service tech, and maybe actually be home everyday! There is nothing definite on that yet. It has just been discussed a little this past week. If this could happen, it would mean I won't have to worry about moving and selling my place here, and actually get back to a normal life! I'm hoping something will work out with this, and if it does, then concentrate on making more money. They told me this week that I totally under sold myself in the interview, and that they definitely need to give me more money, but until the dust settles from the acquisition of these other three companies, and the 165 techs from these other companies are weeded through and placed, they can't do anything just yet, but it will happen. Hoping something turns around for me soon! LOL! Thanks for all the well wishes guys!

Thanks Tom.....me too! LOL! I've been trying to stay positive this whole time, but it gets a little tough sometimes. Other than finding a job at home, this would be the best thing that could happen. Well.....hitting the lottery wouldn't be bad either LOL!!!
Hitting the lottery would be better. Why don't you just do that instead?
And then teach me how to do it too please.
