Don't know why you guys are so hard on Chevy's. From what I've read, 90% of all Chevy trucks ever made are still on the road today.

Apparently the other 10% made it home.

Thanks guys, it'll be a labor of love for sure. The farm we're getting has been in my family since the 50s. My dad grew up in that house, and I learned to wrench in the garage there with my grandpa. That place is a part of who I am, for sure. It's going to be a huge undertaking, but to be honest, I am looking forward to it. I really don't mind the work and I'm looking forward to making it into something special again.

I've said most of those same things before I started my project....just don't be afraid to lean on that burning river pale ale. Not too hard of course.

Thanks guys. We're pretty stoked, but I have to say that I'm about to lose my mind juggling all that we have going on right now. I need this holiday weekend that is coming up. Imma park my butt in a chair next to a fire and soak up the sunshine.

I just don't think it does me any good. It didn't seem to lower my EGTs any and I lost a couple PSI boost when I put it in. I keep thinking there must be a leak in there somewhere, but I can still make close to 20 PSI boost when I rail on it, so it can't be leaking much if at all. It just doesn't seem like I should be able to make 1100 degree EGTs with an Intercooler and stock injectors. Cruising temps at 65-70 are 700-800 degrees. It just doesn't seem right, somehow. Maybe the mill is just tired, but it sure runs good.

What temp did it run at before in a similar situation.
That cruising is about what I am at a lot of the time.
My daily driver tune is a turd tho.
I can't believe that you are not seeing positive results .
What tuning are you running? I can't remember..

With my stage 1s, t500, TS chip, and stock turbo, the intercooler did not help at all with egts. Added the s366 turbo and yes..... everything is great now. Plenty of power towing up hill, and I dont have to keep my foot on the floor. Dont have to get out of it cause of high egts either.

Not to wander off subject, but hows the 4R100 in comparison to the E4OD? Do they need rebuilt as often as the E4OD or do they tend to last longer?

4R100 is some better than an E4OD, but they are almost the same trans.
You can actually run a 4R100 in an obs by just changing a couple sensors IIRC.

Definatly an upgrade to the E4OD. I know when they rebuild an e40d, its common to upgrade with 4r100 internals.
