Nope, 60 foot fall into a creek bed. Search and rescue had to rope him up the cliff. Bad thing was his wife was with him camping. So sad, he was only 41 years old.

 

Sounded to me like it was his last camping trip....

 

Awe man that is terrible.... Something that is suppose to be fun and relaxing, turning tragic like that. Just a reminder of how fast life can be taken away....

 

"suuuuuup fellas? I am sitting outside on my laptop enjoying this nice cool Fall weather here in the Hill Country. It's nice to have a day off from classes and work. The sky is bright blue, UT play the Sooners today, and life has been pretty good. Just an update for my brethren. We have been in Texas for year and it just never took with either of us. We have a chance to head back home to the West Coast and will be doing so in January. I have been helping my FIL with some house issues he has been having and I have to keep my promise and finish that out, but after that we are outta here. It was a good stay for a little while and we had some questions answered. We are both looking forward to going home. That's it in a nutshell. The good part of this that there will be a new thread on Ruby when the road trip commences!! Hopefully it will be different this time with all of the mods that have been done since the last trip from there to here.

Enjoy your Saturday and some college football!! I am not a Longhorns fan,but when they play OU, I will definitely hope for the best for them!! So.....goooo Longhorns!
