Whats yalls opinion about the S&B intake kits? They look fancy and my buddy who just got one says he could tell the difference. Anyone here have any experience?
Also, is there anything better performance wise than the 6637?
Those kits are pretty neat.
The thing I've never liked about cold air intakes is that they limit the amount of air that can get to the filter.
The bottle neck from those causes a power loss, and were looking at a forced air induction system, so the system is going to suck all it can.
The problem with that is, when you bottle neck that style of system, you starve your motor.
The air in the engine bay wont be so hot that it causes any issues while your running down the road. Thats just a missnomer.
Watch your scan gauge IAT reading. it will usually be ambient temp or 2 or 3 degree cooler where your filter is.
They did a test on a cummins at the performance class for CMU.
They did a dyno run with a cummins stock, then threw on the K&N cold flow blah blah where it puts the ram scoop under the bumper.
They lost 10 hp.
They bottle necked the air flow.

Who in the heck carries at 7:00-7:30 like that? She should at least go for a proper small of back carry if that's her thing.

I guess that's the difference in a pessimist and an optimist. You're thinking why would she carry there. I'm thinking, if she's flexible enough to carry there, I wonder what else she could do.
I thought the laughing icon I put a couple of lines under my text communicated that I understood that it wasn't the point. My bad.
