Advice on replacing cab corners

My cab corners are rotted out and I'm looking to replace them. I got the corners already from a local source and looking to order inner corners and rear lower door pillar corners from RockAuto (which are Sherman parts). I looking for advice on what I'm getting into. It appears to be a matter of drilling out the spot welds, cutting out the old parts and welding in the new ones. I never did this type of body work so any advice for a rookie would be appreciated.

Did you have a thought on how you were going to cut the rotted side out? i would not go near manual sheers, or heat, like a torch, would only use air tools such as an air nibbler. Lot less deformation to repair

I was thinking of either an air or electric grinder with a cut off wheel. I didn't think about using a nibbler.

I would also use a cutoff wheel, because i got three of em, but no nibbler. im also not too hung up on the best looks either. I want it to look good, but not factory is fine for my ole girl... anyway, i would guess you will be welding the new panels in place... Just remember to spred the heat around.... meaning to use lots of patience and short welds to keep it from warping the metal....

I'll be tacking the new corners in place and than little bit by little bit filling in the weld. Then grind it it smooth. I will be covering the bottom of the truck with bed liner so it won't need to be perfect but need to have something fairly smooth.
