Brakes issues/Master Cylinder

Picked up a new MC for truck today looks like this.

Buy Cardone Remanufactured Brake Master Cylinder 10-1388 at Advance Auto Parts_____

The one on truck is large and hose connections face the engine and not away from the engine like this one. I believe it is a MC from a disk brake set up 73 and up.

The new one does fit the booster (power brakes) should I just turn the lines around and use the new one or return it and get the one that matches the one on my truck. (disk brake MC) Not sure if the lines match on the new one I bought, won't till tomorrow. Thanks.

I'd return it myself. remember the first well near the fire wall is the Primary This this for the fronts brakes. I find the left sided tube connection easier to bleed and tighten..my 2cents

Yea I was thinking of returning that way I would be set when I do disk brake conversion. I was just worry there might be a problem using incorrect MC but old one worked fine till recently. I guess there is no difference just a larger resorvior. Thanks

Ok looked at post there might be some confusion the front brakes on my trucks are drums and not disk brakes.

Cool thanks again orich, just got back from the parts. Picked up a vacuum pump from pep boys for 30.00 bucks hopefully will make things easier doing it myself. One less thing to change when I do the disk brake conversion.
