Beautiful. When I grow up (otherwise known as getting the kids out of the nest) I'm buying a 48 F1 with a Flathead motor. Just beautiful.

Check out this video of the Flathead as it first starts. I love the sound of these flatheads.

I got no comment on the way you started that flat motor. Other than she is very forgiving, and don't like starting fluid at all. Bet she would love some octane booster.

Still it was a beautiful thing to hear once she leveled out.

Funny thing is the video shows it starting not the 5 hours of cranking and dumping gas in the Cylinders flooding it with some stale gas that cleaned the tank and lines. Ever start a Flat8 Arctic Y Block? 6 volt is a slow crank and some starting fluid gives it a boost.

Yes sir I have. Many of them. At one time for several years they where my daily drivers. I am sorry as I just saw the vid and it did look like she was flooded. Still damn cool though.

Nice work. Hoping to get ny 52 cranked in the next few days. Waiting on the starter to come back from the shop and I also need to address the exhaust. Original is long gone.
