So tell me if I just made a huge mistake

Are they split-rim (ring) wheels aka widow makers? Many tire peeps won't touch them, even if they have the steel cage that was designed to protect peeps while working on split-rims.
Puttin' one a these wheels on a tire changer, then deflating it, the ring could fly off, taking someone's head off in the process. Not pleasant.
Now you know why they're called widow makers.

Oh I know all about Widow Makers. An old ford truck from the farm I worked on when I was a teen had them. My uncle Lefty was not a fan, you can guess why he was called Lefty.
Only job on that farm that I was told to not do, by my parents, was not to touch the wheels on that truck. Almost had to quit/get fired one day.
Boss hired someone to come over and take care of the tires.
Checked all 6 rims and all are solid, six lug, 17.5 inch.
Oddball sized tires will cost me and I need 3, but I got it cheap and its complete and running other than tires. I needed a project to keep my busy and busy always costs me cash.
Thanks for the info, anything else I should be watching for.
