Ok i got a problem i have a 306 out of a 1970 mustang i put it in my 1989 ford f150 the other day it over heated real bad it had blown head gaskets but the top radiator hose hit the fan an it overheated when i let it cool off an put water in it cranked a few times then stooped the cylinders had water in them could this be a cracked head now
Pull the heads.A blown head gasket will likely be obvious.A cracked head might not be obvious. It would be wise to have the heads pressure tested even if you have a bad head gasket.
