Are these just brighter bulbs, or an entire hid kit with bulbs and ballasts?

Don't have before and after pics and I wasn't advised a ballast was needed. I just installed the bulbs and off I went. The only installation advice I got was wear rubber gloves or be extremely careful not to touch the bulb as fingerprint oil from hands could cause the bulb to explode. I've had them in for a week. There is a noticeable improvement in visibility.

do you have a link to the product. sounds like its not a true HID bulb, as HIDs require use of a ballast. Sounds like a form of halogen. Interested to learn more about the product you used. And see what they look like

Yes high/low work great. Forgive me if I didn't understand the difference. I just wanted t chime in and comment that these bulbs work great. They will definitely offer better nighttime visibility.

They are not HID bulbs. HID's require a ballast and an ignitor and most of the modern ones, the those two items come in the same box, instead of separately like they use to years ago.

Hid conversion

I have 2012 f150 platinum with stock halogen headlights. Really want to replace with the oem hid lights. Any suggestions or can it even be done without dash lights going off? Thanks in advance
