Mine was doing the same thing. The GEM module get'n wet, most likely from a leaky windshield.

How could a windshield with a crack make a horn go off nonstop? I would check your fuses, maybe it's shorting out.

The water leaking in the windshield shorts the GEM module out.
Pretty good possibility since our trucks are known to have leaky windshields.
May not be the problem but...........

So would silicone around the windshield eliminate that problem?

Been there, done that...slowed the "leak", but just last week here, had a bad downpour, and yup, water on the ebrake pedal...

no visible water anywhere...my thought was heavy condensation caused by cracked windshield... heavy humidity and been buttoned up for months...never had windshield leak in any way, and have replaced 4 times...will update tomorrow....

broken ground? remember, the horn works off of ground.

take a test light (or jumper wire) and jump it under the dash. (found this by mistake years ago. scared the dog sheet out of me, lol.) if the horn goes off there, then the problem is between there and the steering wheel. if it doesn't, then check the horn itself. it is on the passenger side fender.

ground was good....but there was a leak in the windshield and it dripped right onto the GEM.....replaced widshield and pulled fuse box/GEM.
GEM is sitting in bag of rice and 3 of those moisture evaporater bags over night will re-install tomorrow. GEM does not looked damaged or fried....there must be a test of continuity or something. Will update once re-installed.

windshield leak on passenger side dripped right on to GEM. 2 days of running since dried out...no issues. Dash lights, windows, and one push auto down, and of course the horn going off by self are all working correctly now.

Thank you for all of your help.

Glad you got it fixed! Especially nice not having to replace the GEM!
