Exhaust setup.

So, I've about narrowed down what I think I want for my 89 f250, 351. Look this over and let me know what you think, or if I'm going a little overboard

Truck is currently stock, but I may consider some small mods in the future (cam mostly)

Headman Long Tube headers, 3 inch outlet.
Headman Collectors, 3 inch to 2.5 inch, with O2 bung.
Magnaflow X pipe, 2.5in
2 Magnaflow glasspacks
Magnaflow 2.5 inch tailpipes, rear bumper exit.

Of course, all the intermediate piping will also be 2.5 inch. Will have to make a couple of custom pipes from the header collectors to the X. The system will route down the passenger side of the truck, with the driver's side glasspack mounted closer to the engine than the passenger side, to keep things as compact as possible. Cat Converter is going away, it's rusted out, and I don't have sniffer tests in this area of the country. Going to pull the AIR system while I'm at it, and use the Mustang pulley.

So, too much for a stock truck? See anything that I've missed with this setup?
Also, where should the X pipe be located ideally? As close to the headers as possible? Halfway between them and the glasspacks? I'm not worried about length, since I've got an extended cab long bed, more worried about the system performing well as a whole.

Looks fine to me, the only thing I'd change if it was me, is to forgo the X-pipe and dual tailpipes, use a magnaflow dual 2.5" in and single 3" outlet tailpipe. The Magnaflow 15003 tailpipe works nicely for about $50. Muffler part number is 12288. Should be cheaper than duals with an X for about the same result.

Well, I had considered that, especially since, from what I understand, a single 3" would help with torque over a dual 2.5. However, wouldn't it then make more sense to go with 3" collectors into a 3" Y?

You most likely won't notice any difference whatsoever HP/TQ wise between systems, so I'd go with what is cheapest and easiest.

I'm not much for glasspacks or the glasspack sound, but otherwise it'll be fine. Headers will really make a difference over manifolds especially with a better exhaust with no cat. I prefer 3" pipe over 2.5" pipe, some people say that 2.5 is better for flow and scavenging, there might be some truth to that, I don't know, but the shop around here will sell 2.5-3" pipe for the same price so I get 3". The X pipe probably won't make much difference than just putting pipe back. But I do like dual exhaust behind the 351w.
