73 camper special front sway bar on a 65

I have a 1973 camperspecial with the front sway bar bolted between the radius arms. If I bolt those arms and sway bar under my 65 will it have the same affect as the forward facing bars? I dont want to use the disk brakes because im converting the 65 to a 1/2 ton. If possible just want to use the arms and sway bar.

I believe that it will as long as we are talking 2wd to 2wd.

Thank you for replying Im in Hurdle Mills area. Both trucks is 2 wheel drive. I was just wondering if that early style sway bar would be worth it if they have the same effect as the later ones they changed it to

I know Hurdle Mills well, who is the Mayor there now? I have to pass through fashionable midtown on my way home to Bushy Fork.

I have never experienced the sway bar, have heard nice things from guys that have installed them. Takes bounce out. That would be a good thing.

Hi, OldFord. You didn't say what engine you're running in the '65 but I've read that type of sway bar can interfere with header choices with the FE engines, if you intend to put them on your truck. I don't have any first-hand experience with that particular sway bar but it's something to consider depending on your plans for the truck.
Always good to post up some pics, too. We always like pics!!

Hola, ND! These numbers don't mean too much to me. Is this the front-mounted sway bar or the one that mounts behind the front beams & runs thru the radius arms?

OP says he has a 1973 sway bar and this was the only one available and only for 1973/74 F250 2WD & F350.

1975 was the first year Ford offered a sway bar for F100/150 2WD's (D5TZ-5482-A) which was also used on F250 2WD's and F350's thru 1979.
