Exhaust for 460 in 1955 F250

2 into 1 exhaust

Started puttin it together today, didn't turn out to bad. I have enough 2.5 pipe left over to run dual if decide. Anybody have any recommendation for a 3" in and out muffler?

ArdWrknTrk in the 80-86 forums has a 3" in and out I think from a school bus on his. Looks nice so far!

I was thinkin bout checkin out the junk yard, see what I might find in the way of muffler/tail pipe

That looks great!!! I like the way you ran it with the shortie's. I kinda wish I had done that instead of the full length headers.

Today I dropped my transmission pan to replace the filter, was pretty glad all the exhaust was out of the way.

I think all the major brands will carry a 3" in / out muffler. Depends on the sound you're looking for. Even Flowmaster sells the 50 and 70 series mufflers that are pretty tame sounding if that's what you're looking for

If you don't mind spending the money on it check the price on an 85.5-87 F250/350 460 muffler. It's dual in, single out. On mine with the 168.4" wheelbase, it still has a nice sound even with the AC on and windows closed.

Went to the junk yard this morning, didn't find what I was looking for, I did stop by the local Ford dealer and look under some of the new trucks on the lot, if I can find a newer wrecked truck thats being parted out I'll be in good shape.
