I haven't taken it over the Appalachian mountains yet, but I can tell it rides stiffer and true to course when I hit local pot holes and railroad tracks at 55.

Change out Rear sway to 30mm. People say this combats the roll a lot over stock.
Mine also gives the impression that it sits lower in the rear, so I ordered the 4" F350 blocks and ubolts for it. Just waiting for the weather to give me a couple of days and the energy to change them.
I love the Hellwig, other than actual spring swap, it's the best mod I've done.

Was the Hellwig just in the rear or did you do the front too? How did they compare to the stock ones?

The Hellwig most are talking about is just the rear. I am not sure they make one for the front. They are a few millimeters thicker than the stock ones IIRC. It made a TON of difference in my X as it came without one from the factory.

Ok... now I'm confused. I thought the X codes were the springs that offered the highest 'raise' just swapping the springs. I dont remember seeing V code before today... If I want the highest lift with just springs... what do I want?

V's and X's are fronts. X's are tallest stock and stiffest. The other guys were discussing the rears, which even with modded B's you will need F 350 blocks to sit level or a tad rear high. With the stock Ex blocks you will be front high.

Good luck!

Yep, the EX's didn't have any spring choices or options, just these low weak EX specific leaves. The X codes came on F-250/350 trucks with the snowplow prep package and also on F-550's, they are heavy duty units!

A year (and many problems) later... And I'm checking x codes... Sdtrucksprings has them for 99$ a piece plus 60$ shipped to my door... I do believe I'm gonna order some tonight. Will my front sit too high with the stock rears?

Is the Ford dealer the only place to get 4" F350 rear blocks from or does any aftermarket company sell them also? How much do they cost also? I need to get some for my spring swap.

I used v in the front and modded b in the rear. Rear was higher than the front I ended up adding one of the leafs from the old rear springs to the front to get it a little higher. In hindsight I would have gone with the x codes after putting the winch and bumper on it.

Out of curiousity, my spring code on my door sticker is CG. What does that mean as far as spring capacity and ride height would go?

It means WEAK. You must have a 7.3. That's what I have in mine CG and my front springs are just about inverted. I'm slowly gathering parts for my swap.

Mine is actually a 6.8, and my fronts are inverted, sitting just a couple inches off the bump stops. I barely squeeze under the garage door as it is, with the 285/75r16's on there, dunno if I could squeak it in with 3 more inches of height, lol. Would be nice to have the heavier springs though.
