I have a 2011 f350 6.2 v8, build date of 6/2011. From day one, at random times, it feels like a nuetral drop when it shifts. Also, a hand full of times, when trying to pass someone on the highway, it redlines and goes nowhere. Same old story with dealer...unless u can make it happen....
Anyone having these problems and/or know what's up?
I've moved your thread to the 6.2L V8 Forum. Folks on here have discussed this issue several times and someone should be along shortly that can relate some similar issues and solutions.
Hmm, your truck was built after the TSB cutoff date (see attached doc) so you should have all the latest transmission solenoids/programming. I don't know of any other transmission related TSB's after this one but that doesn't mean they don't exist. I have heard of a few instances where guys had all the corrections done and still encountered issues but they are rare and seem to have to be handled on a case by case basis. Mine's hiccupped a couple times since it was corrected but nothing consistent or reproduceable.
Does yours only happen after sitting a while (long soak)? If so, have you left it at the dealer over night to let them test drive some more? Maybe get a video of it if you know where/when it consistently occurs? Mine would always mis-shift in the same spot on my way to work after sitting all night (or while at work). Just throwin' ideas out there...

Thanks for your feedback. It has happened when cold and after being on the highway for an hour. The last thing my dealer suggested was leave it there so they could hook up a 'flight recorder'? I can't work without the truck, so I need to find time.

I've heard of guys having that done but don't know what's involved with it. Hopefully they'd be able to hook it up and run you through how to use it quick enough that it wouldn't set you back too far on your work day. I believe when the truck acts up, you hit a button and it starts pulling data. Not sure exactly, but keep us posted!
