Probably not the worst that could have happened haha!

Just installed mbrp 3.5 single cat back. very happy with the sound. Sounds like a Cummings on throttle.

I just installed a new Borla cat back system. The install took about 45 min total with a lift and air wrench. The only part that was difficult was the rear driver exhaust mount has to be put in the fly spring. Most important, the 3" pipes sound fantastic on start and acceleration. However, at idle, the sound is a nice throaty growl. Would definitely recommend-got mine from Summit racing.

I used "full race" exhaust. This website has a lot of good info on the Eco Boost. I used their exhaust and I love it. Not too loud but just loud enough. And on the freeway it isnt to drowning if you know what I mean.

Full Race also has a lot of good performance mods. I have personally used their programmer, and exhaust mods. Might do the intercool relocation mad too.

I have Banks Monster Exhaust. It is the single out that connects in place of the stock exhaust. sounds great and really improved performance.

One of the mods I made to My '09 F150/4.6L was a JBA cat back system. Single muffler with a splitter at the back and duals out the back. Got it from 4wheelparts.com. Install was easily done in the driveway. Only issue was I had to cut the flare off of the pipe coming out of the cats so the new pipe would fit over it (left the factory piping from the cats to about 12: aft of the junction). 3" pipe from the cats to the muffler and 2.5"from the muffler to the rear with 3" rolled edge tips. Looks and sounds great.

Sweet! I will have to look into these brother! I do however wonder if it will weld itself to the drain pan due to galvanic corrosion?

It's possible, but would you really care?

I guess if I installed one of these I'm probably not taking I with me hoping it fits my new vehicle. The new owner is probably getting a fancy drain valve for free.

I see your point...I was just thinking about if for some reason it had issues and would need replacement.

good point.

I suppose some PTFE tape would be a good idea. I would think that would be enough to keep it from seizing in case you needed to replace it for some reason.

on a completely side note, I'm seriously considering adding one of these to my Farmall 806. the only thing I've got that's big enough for the drain plug is my 15" crescent wrench. a drain valve like this would truly make life more simple.

I'd add one to my Subaru and Expedition, but I'm only figuring I've got about 5 more oil changes left before i'll send them both down the road. Maybe they will last longer, but they are both beginning to show their age and mileage. a valve like this would have been nice for the last 10 changes, though ....

Yes I suppose the tape would work fine...I know the Fumto one is brass so maybe that would be a better option.
