HELP!!! Sudden VERY loud valve (?) or engine noise? After fuel stop???
96 Explorer AWD with 5.0 V8 engine, auto trans. Stopped for gas, put some injector cleaner in at the same time...started up a few minutes later and VERY LOUD noise now, like noisy lifters when there isn't enough oil...but there IS enough oil in it! What's happening??? No codes show.

Hmm OK...you are saying maybe it's the oil pump gone bad??? What ELSE could it be instead??
I am pretty sure the gauge showed OK oil pressure...but since the vehicle is now parked in a storage yard a couple hundred miles away from here ( I had to leave it there!) I can't quickly double check that,,, so what ELSE may cause that problem??? A lifter gone bad? Or...?????
It just seems VERY ODD that this all happens right after I gas up and put injector cleaner in...what the heck??? :P
