Man I tell you, what's the world coming to when people have to work instead of posting pics for all of us to see. LOL No problem dude, I was just curious about it and thought I'd check in.

Sit back and enjoy your time at home.

Here are the pics of the window regulator. First pic is where the door needed to be cut away to clear the new motor.

In this pic you can see the motor and its surrounding metal that includes the motors gear bushing were cut away from the arm and the arms gear of the explorer and then welded back to the factory arm and gear from the truck.

The next two show some braces that I added for strength.

Here are pictures of the door lock actuator. The actuators fit between the window track and the inside of the door. I can't take these ones out for better pics because the bolt that mounts them to the door has now been painted.

First pic is the whole set up and the second one shows a bit better how the stud was welded to the rod on the actuator. The stud fits into a plate welded to the original door lock rod... and yes I do not have a bolt on the stud yet.

Thanks for the pics. I have a couple follow up questions. What switches did you use, where did you mount them and were they easy to wire in?

Thanks again for taking the time to post the pics, they are a serious help

Here are the door panels that I am mounting the switches into. The window switches are out of a 90's minivan (toyota I think) and the lock switches are out of who knows what (it was raining and I just wanted out of the yard). The wiring is fairly easy for the window switch and they run without relays. You'll need to run power to the drivers switch and connect it to the drivers window. Power for the passenger window comes from the drivers switch (if you want to retain the window lock out) and the control of the passenger window from the drivers side has to be run over to the passenger side too.

For the door locks see the last pic I posted, it shows how to wire the relays. I am running 2 relays per door and just a signal wire between the two switches for lock control. You can also run just 2 relays and then run the power wires to each door.

i did a quick resto' on my 76 back in 2006 and i bought both kits from lmc truck. the electric locks with the remote are FREAKIN AWESOME and the solenoids are definitly great quality they sound super powerful giving a loud KA-CHUNK to let you know theyre locked. they have a screw-block that attach to the existing lock rods(came loose on me one time but some threadlocker fixed that)

the power window kit i kinda dont like, it was super easy to install as they just adapt to your old regulator, but theyre kinda slow, and id like to have stronger mounting brackets(which could be easily made i just havent had time to mess with it) otherwise a pretty good kit.

its my daily and they've been working fine since '06 when i put them in, lmc still has the same kits. i highly recommend the remote power locks!

doors are still kinda leaky and never had any water problems with either kit.
i hid the module for the remote locks up behind the cluster and it works good there, it wont get a good signal from the passenger side behind the truck just too much metal in between, it has an antenna wire but i just kinda rolled it up in there so i dont get a very far distance but they defintly are nice.

Im interested too, had considered getting the kits from LMC, but after my dad got a few things from them that seems really under-made / low quality i think ill go this route.
