Not for me.
Mine is actually a clear plastic 100 micron filter from Baldwin, but I agree it could become plugged multiple times on one tank of fuel. I carry a spare with me, but only one. I do like it being clear since it makes a visual check so much easier. If I get a tank of fuel that's that bad, I'm hoping it manifests itself quickly enough to determine it's from the most recent fill up and I can just get the tank pumped out or whatever. That's hopefully, and hopefully I'll never have to let you know how that logic plays out.

For this episode, it took 250 miles from my last fill up for the low pressure to show up. Changed the filter and have gone 250 miles since and the filter is still clear as a bell. Just over a 1/4 tank left. I plan on running it down to near empty to remove as much fuel as possible, just in case, and then will check it again after my next fill up (tomorrow).

I had to replace my small pre-pump filter twice after a load of bad fuel. I figure that was easier than draining the tank, then probably still having sediment left in there...
