OK Bill... Now I'm jealous!
How did you get the logic side out of the case?
I tried a couple of times with no luck.

Edit: I didn't. If you look close at the pic above, the logic board is still attached to the half shell. But that half shell is pretty thin. You don't want to try to pull the connector sockets.

The half shells have components that have not been upgraded like Ed's repaired FICM's have.

Will a FICM half shell fix this issue or these symptoms of a bad processor board and not the converter board of the FICM? Any suggestions / ideas will be greatly appreciated, Thanks! <O</O
It seems that everyone is ignoring what I highlighted in red.
He said that he has 48 Volts and that it starts after a squirt of starter fluid
So that to me points at a logic problem not a power supply. I really don't
think he will get anything from replacing the Power supply in this case.
What he needs to do is some diagnostic work before tossing all the $$ at it.
That is why I said maybe not in my first post to id the half shell would fix this.
I still think it won't and that he will be tossing parts at it. The loaner FICM
worked because the logic in it was working.
