I've got a head gasket leak (coolant in oil) on my new-to-me '91 F-150, so pulling the head is in my near future. I'm guessing that I'm going to find cracks in the head, so I'm inclined to just get a rebuilt head in advance and make the swap process quick and easy.
I could have sworn I read something in here about inexpensive rebuilt 4.9 heads, but I can't find a thing now. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I've used these guys many times.

They also have the thicker Australian head casting at least for the FI engines.
Prices are better than local machine shops, work is perfect and the shipping is super cheap. Home |

Thanks. I'm guessing that this one is the Aussie head then, yes? Cylinder Heads
autozone has options, 1 yr warranty and price friendly. some people are scared of autozone's quality due to horror stories, but the fact of the matter is they own 70% of the automotive retail market for a reason.
