Central VA. Diesel Shop Help

Hello Everyone,
Help needed!

Does anyone know of a good Diesel Shop in the Richmond Va. area? Took my 2007 F250 Super Duty to the dealer for them to read the check engine light and to inspect the glow plugs. Glow plugs are working intermittently?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
<o> </o>
This is what they came up with:<o></o>
Check Engine Light =<o></o>
Fuel Injector Controller Needed<o></o>
<o> </o>
In addition to to the FIC, this is what they found =<o></o>
Fan clutch wiring was cut by fan?<o></o>
Need fan clutch?<o></o>
Glow plug module <o></o>
<o> </o>
Total Price: $2025<o></o>
<o> </o>
I am looking for a good second opinion, and hopefully a decent price? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!<o></o>

Have a friend in corp. for James River equipment. I'll give him a call tomorrow and see who he's got. Where in the area are you? I'm in Chesterfield, so most of the people we know will be W of 95.

I went to Universal Ford on West Broad & when the rep came to tell me what was wrong with my truck, he was looking shady? I just dont trust the dealership anymore. Need another shop!

OK I got confused. When I ran EMS we had two shops we took our rigs too on a regular basis. The one we went too for diesel repairs was Diesel power of VA. Dyke Tire did some minor stuff like oil changes and tires for us but the major repairs went to diesel power.

On a side note I would avoid universal for any thing just about. If you are east of Richmond I would recommend checking out Medlin Ford as they sell a lot of super duty trucks and should have a good mechanic on hand. That is where I bought my truck and the only dealer I trust.

I'll leave you the same message as I did in your other thread:

4 Wheel Drive Specialty on W. Broad:
four wheel drive specialty, 4 wheel drive specialty

Twisted Diesel in Chesapeake:
Twisted Diesel

I would start with those two and see where they take you.

ELC- How's the truck? Buddy finally got back from a cruise, just got a call from him. He said Colonial Ford down south side also does a ton of diesel business.

Check with these guys. Depends on what engine you have and what's wrong so call first, but they've got the local Good Ole Boy seal of approval: Rebel Diesel Inc in Richmond, Virginia 23224 - Richmond.com

How's the truck, OP?

Little info for everyone that finds this in a search:

Drove past Crossroads Ford in Colonial Hghts yesterday. They've been making big noise about their diesel svc. departments. Shares duty with their Dodge and Chevy branches. Supposedly upgraded and well certified. Thing that struck me was I saw a 6.9 era diesel parked in the employee lot.
