Urgent FSA notice?

I received an urgent Field Service Action (FSA) notice from my dealer for my truck.
It doesn't explain what this FSA is about.

Anyone out there have any idea what Ford is up to?
Is an FSA a new name for a recall?

Maybe I'm getting a new HPFP....LOL!

Find outstanding FSA's, service schedules and vehicle conversions..
Enter your vin and it will tell you if any actions need to be taken and which ones.

OK, I entered my vin and got an outstanding action required message:
12B33 - PCM AND NOX SENSOR MODULE RECALIBRATION

I guess I need to visit my dealer.

That's a cool link, thanks Paul!

Mine says same, but they are going to have a hell of a time finding my NOX sensor to re calibrate it

Don't be too quick to rush out to the dealer for this one folks. This bulletin was only just released three days ago. There isn't actually any information contained, other than just a notice. But I suspect it has something to do with many of you 6.7L owners out there with an ongoing issue of codes P164a and P2A00 setting. Ford had a TSB released to replace the NOx sensor as well as to reprogram the PCM and NOx modules to address this. Unfortunately, even doing the TSB seems to have failed to repair this issue. I have had a couple trucks already with this particular issue without a successful repair yet, so I suspect that this is yet another update to this. STAY TUNED.

For what it's worth, on one particular truck I ended up working with a field service engineer on it for an entire week, even after replacing the NOx sensor and reprogramming the PCM to the latest calibration failed to repair the concern. I was driving the truck home every night for almost an entire week, only to have P164a reset. The end result was to replace the NOx MODULE to finally repair the issue with success.

Thanks for the information. I can't believe people are still dealing with this almost 2 years later! I gave up in Dec 2010 after 3 months of it (P164A, P2A00) and got rid of the NOX sensor all together. CEL free since then.

Thanks for the link.
That's what it is.

"12B33 - PCM AND NOX SENSOR MODULE RECALIBRATION"

I've never had an issue so I'm not dealing with this for now.

Cool link for sure Paul. If I wasn't already repped out, I'd hit you for that one.....I'll try tomorrow.

FWIW, I get the same message as everyone else is getting. Also, my wife just got all mushy on me when she found out my truck was built on Valentine's Day in 2011.....me and my damn big mouth.
