fan clutch wires chopped on 06 6.0
Does anyone know what this light blue wire does? It doesn't look like it connected to the plug.

so this was the reason for the No Start the other day????

The fan clutch is tyed into the ignition system dont know why

That was one reason. Had a bad ficm and 2 bad injectors.and now I found this with the fan need to know if I can just repair the wires? And what this blue wire is

IDK about the blue wire

But have heard that a Bad water pump will cause extra vibration and chaffe the wires at that location so might be worth checking

thats Great so no worries there wonder about the old one might have started all this wire chaffe or whatever

Did the new Pump have a metal impellar or plastic just curious

Does the wire come out of the same bundle going to the fan clutch connection?

Yes but its not connected to the plug or the fan and it doesn't have wire in it its so white stuff

My plug has red, orange, green, white, and black wires. I see no blue wire.

Can you post a pic?

Here is the pic of your wires and connector (from email).

I only have 5 wires that I can see on my 2006. Maybe someone else knows about that sixth (blue) one for ya. sorry.

Do you know if your clutch is a heavy duty one (snow plow package)?
