I have a 2001 ranger edge and need to replace the fuel filler neck and was wondering is there a difference between the filler neck for a flair side and a fleet side? Everyone I call ask year make and model etc. dealer wants $260 and rock-auto wants $92 any help will be appreciated thanks.

 

Ford is Styleside and Flareside......there is a difference in the part.......the truck in your pic is Styleside........it looks like the 112" wheelbase.........if it is then the Dorman part for $92 will work...don't forget to get the 5% off roackauto

 

just so im clear the dorman part fits the Styleside? I have a Flareside and this part is not the same?

please go to control panel and make a detailed signature of your truck like mine

if you have a flareside that part from rockauto will NOT work

Yea, sorry that is not the same truck although I still own the 99 ranger. Is there really that much differance between the parts? and if so do I need the $260 part from the dealer?

 

I have seen people have a hard time finding an aftermarket for the flareside..........try online, ebay, etc..........
