UVC connection AGAIN? only did passenger side last time(had access to code reader for bank). would you think drivers side if you were to guess or same side again? used the so-called repair kit. At $80 a valve gasket.... did not replace gaskets last time. will replace this time with Dorman brand??

You'll need some socket extensions, some swivel adapters to get to a couple of bolts on the valve covers. Also, I used a metal coat hanger to hold the heater hoses out of my way on the passenger side and hold the harnesses out of my way on the driver's side. I would also recommend a magnetic bolt holder so you won't loose any bolts.

It sounds like your connection inside the valve cover gasket to the harness.

I just had the same problem. I used the .50 mod to fix it. my SES light was on and ran rough. pulled a p1316 off of my EDGE. Replaced both sides, took about 6 hours. Better than a trip to the dealer.

Isnt as bad to do as i thought but climbing into engine compartment sucks...

My truck being a 4x4 I got tired of climbing up and down,so I used a track hoe and dug two holes the width of the front tires, now when I have to work on it I just pull it easily down into the holes,it puts the top of the grill a little lower than waist high...for the most part I can do a turbo RR standing on the ground.

Hey Chris, where did you get our gaskets and Harness. From what I read it sounds like you replaced both the gasket and the inside harness" How was that?

Thanks
