Universal Joint replacement 1995 F150 4WD

I have a 1995 Ford F150 4wd 155" WB. I would like to change the drive shaft U joints (3). I have been told to use Dana Spicer u joint and not the China junk. I would like to know the Spicer part numbers and where I can get a good price on them. Also if there are any pictures and directions of this job. Thanks, Ted

Take them out and measure them with a caliper. Measure the diameter of the bearing cups and the distance across the joints. I would call around to stores in your area and find someone who sells them. Personally, I think it is best to buy u-joints in a store where they can be easily and quickly returned because you frequently end up with the wrong ones.

Replacing u-joints is a pretty straightforward task, a Chilton's or Hayne's manual should provide you with any instructions you need.

I replaced all u-joints on my '88 13 years ago with AZ standard stock u-joints and have yet to have an issue. Install them in such a way that you can grease them as needed.

These guys have everything you need. I got alot of parts from them with no issues. Go to the 80-96 section and look at what they have. They helped me out over the phone while rebuilding front diff. Hope this helps.

It turns out the needles in my front u joint of my rear driveshaft were dust and my passenger side motor mount was torn apart so I swapped both out. I did both u joints while I had the shaft off.

The inbound ujoint on the passenger side is a pain in the but. I ended up changing mine with it on the truck. I would definatly suggest getting a ujoint press tool for that one lol
