I am looking for a grill for my 1978 f100 2wd. Are there any years that interchange, or what other year or truck can I get a grill from? is there a difference in grills from the f100, f150, f250, or are all the grills the same? any places to find a good used one online? thanks for the help, Ben

 

Are you looking for the plastic insert or the complete anodized (shiny) surround? 78 and 79 are the same shell but in 78 the custom trim level had round headlights. Physically, all 73-79 grills will fit but for 73-7 grills, you'll have to change the headlight mounting buckets as well.

I just need the plastic insert, I think. the outside frame seems to be intact and not broken. so it has to be an insert from a 78 or 79? thanks for the help so far

 

I only got one word, junkyard. They cost about $25 or you can get ripped at ebay for over 100.

 

Any '78-'79 F100-F350 grill will fit. There were 3 different colors of grills offered from the factory - gray, black and chrome - most were gray.
