Sounds like we are both scratching our heads over the same thing right now, trying to decide on wheels and tires. Looking at mine today it is setting level with 215-75's in the front and 235-75's in the back. But I still have 3 1/2 degree positive camber so I'm hoping it will still come drown a little more.

The LBB is gonna log a few miles before tire decision day.

____

15x7 wheels were delivered today. My boss asked "Another transmmission?" since the TKO was delivered here last time.

I said, "Nope. Wheels. ..The next time it will be a crate engine."

That's probably a good idea, but mine are to dry rotted to get on the road.

The LBB has three 30-inch Bridgestones from the early 2000s.. I believe they are the ones known to huck its tread and subsequently recalled. The spare appears to be an original G78-15 bias ply. The fourth Bridgestone has nearly new tread but a strange hole dead nuts centered on the cross-section. It's a strange looking failure... I'll have to call the PO and get the back story on it since I never asked.

That is sure about the right time on the Bridgestones, but a lot of people never had problems with them. I know your probably ready to take it for that first spin. I'm already planning what I want to do to my other truck.

Likewise! I bought a 2WD '71 F250 back in May: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...n-71-f250.html

At first I thought about keeping it stock and just cleaning it up... then a couple of weeks ago I thought "Prerunner!". Now I'm back to the original plan. That's because I really need to tend to my 4WD '73 for which I scored an NP435 and NP205 combo and want to tidy up some odds and ends that have grown to irk me.

Good looking truck, but I'm like you I also like the dents, they made some sweet looking trucks. This was my last project truck, I sold it last spring.

235/75/15 for the fronts looks best. 29 inches tall; fits and fills the wheel well nicely.

215/70/15 just looks way too small. Looks like you have a spare on it or couldn't afford the right size tire. Only 26.9 tall.

Get your suspension right and put a tall tire on it. Just my opinion.

'appreciate the input but it is evident that ya didn't read a few pages back about tire stagger and don't understand the issues.

Can't afford? Puh-lease. If you only knew...

Speaking of bumpers, did you ever get a spoiler and hold it up to the LBB? How does it look?

It is a stretch, but it is there.

Yeah, IIRC it's a 2011-13 SuperDuty spoiler... I got the 4-inch version and it looks good but I should have really gotten the 8-inch version. Anyways, I have to make some bracketry and then a pair of blank off panels due to the spoiler's curvature. It'll be easy enough to swap out in due course. It's a project that has been on the back burner because I knew I'd be crawling in and out from under the front end... it's on the to-do-later list... along with rebuilding the bucket seats.

Bent up some off-set brackets to get the ECU wiring harness away from the clutch pedal arm....

Also picked up some PS fluid and a new air filter.

I meant "people" not specifically "you" when I made the statement about being cheap on tires. I was just saying in general that when I see a small tire that is one of my assumptions.

And yes, I DID read back a few pages about your suspension PROBLEM. I'm well aware that these trucks have a narrower track width in the back compared to the front. I also read that your suspension sits higher in the front than the back. That is why my last sentence suggested you FIX the problem. And a 235/75/15 is a pretty dang narrow tire which would only compliment your concern about the stagger; sorry it would make your truck more of a tail dragger. But hey, its your truck, you can put a 13 inch wheel with a 21 inch tall tire on it if thats what you need to do to get it to "sit right".
