Looks great. That really accentuates the narrow rear end.

.. and we'll fix that visual anomaly with 70 series in front and 275/60s in back.

I opened the shocks and sealed hardware bags which came with the Fatman Fab kit... what's wrong with this pic? Yup.. it's friggin' missing an upper shock bushing .... musta been packaged on a Friday at 4:55 PM. :

Hello HIO, loving the work and fabrication, I'm hoping that work starts on my '72 next week if the lorry in my allocated space is removed. I'm also going for the rear axle flip to go with '94 Jag IFS. can you confirm the measurement on the short saddle please, it says 3"/16" ?? I'm also guessing that the different lengths with the 4" to the rear is to set the correct pinion angle?

Keep up the excellent work, it's helped me out loads with research.

Rich, UK.

Howdy Rich.. .. the short saddle is 3+11/16th or just shy of 3.75 inches. Yuuuup... to correct/maintain pinion angle.

I checked out that Jaguar IFS. That's cool... They gotta be more plentiful over there than this side of the pond. Gonna keep my eyes open for an IFS including the Jag IRS.

'Got the rear brakes, cables, and rear shocks mounted.. need to get a shock bushing on the next JY hunt. Also installed a replacement coupling shaft. .. The TKO's tailshaft is 23.25 inches from the centerline of the carrier bearing bracket mounting holes. A coupling shaft from a C6-equipped long bed, which has a 31-spline yoke, slid right on. Slightly more than half of the yoke slips into the TKO so it fits like a flesh tuxedo. I'll be able to reuse the stock driveshaft since it has slip-splines. The original is rusty and gunky as hell so I'll refinish it this week and then tuck it away... it'll be easier to work on the exhaust without it installed.

I'm gonna skip the gas tank swap for now. The rear crossmember needs to be relocated and accessing the rivets will be easier with the bed removed.

Back to work on the exhaust, EFI, and bodywork... the grill shell has been sitting in my living room for months!

DiLemMa !

I just paid myself the rental "management fee" (per my business agreement with The Toads.. that's "the parents")).... should it be used towards making a mortgage principle payment or a Miller Diversion 180 TIG?

You said "principle" payment. So I say tithe the principle and 90% to the Tig.

Seriously.. I don't need a TIG and I'm about 11 months away from paying off my house and being debt free. ...ECONOMIC FREEDOM!

HIO, if you're that close to being financially free can't you use the money to make it sooner? then you can buy what you want, when you want

If the Tig is more of an option or toy to play with, then pay on the house. Plenty more time for toys once that debt is paid.

Yeah but we our only on this planet minute by minute per say and never know the leaving date.

So enjoy the toys as long as it don't affect the family and the roof over your there head:

I've had some friends that wait till they retired with everything paid for only too die with in a month after retiring.

If a guys is not married and never has to worry about the roof over head, then let your better judgment and check book be your guide..
