Wanted: F3 Parts

Hi

I'm looking for a Horn push button (clips on the back of mine have snapped off) and Radio and speaker dash grilles (beige colour) for my 1949 F3, does anyone have them and willing to sell?

Thanks
Andrew

You can buy all these parts from the reproduction parts dealers like Dennis Carpenter and Mac's. You might have one in your state.

Horn 7HC-3627-C $18

Radio blank 7C-8104371 $15

Radio grill 7C-8104352 $20

Thanks Bob, I was kind of hoping for some original parts but as you say repro may be the way to go. I'm from the UK so gettings parts is a little more tricky and a bit more of a USPS / customs waiting game!

You should post your location in the upper right hand corner.

Unless you get lucky most of the original parts you're looking for are going to be in pretty rough shape. You're a lot better off going with the reproduction parts. I'm sure the vendors are used to shipping overseas. I realize customs can be a pain but I don't see how buying from a private party is any easier. Maybe it is, I don't know.

I got all my horn button parts from Antique Auto Supply, Arlington TX. Super nice guy owns the place and answers the phone 9 times out of 10. He also only charges what it actually costs to ship stuff, unlike Certain Other Suppliers who have a minimum order and set shipping that is many times the actual.

I've input my location now!

I like original parts as at least you know they will fit and look right, I've had a tailgate, tailgate hinge, parking brake bracket, door and window handles, and water pump rebuild kit from people on the forum which is great, all good people to deal with.

Thanks, I will try Antique Auto Supply.

Classic Haulers in IN is also a good place to deal with. I've only bought, or tried to buy, once from Mac's. I ordered via their web site, which said the parts were in stock. A few days they emailed me to tell me they only had a couple of parts, one was back ordered for a certain amount of time and would send in a separate shipment along with additional shipping charges. Classic Haulers had everything and shipped it right away. I canceled the order I had with Mac's. I'm not putting Mac's down, it was the only time I tried to buy from them but Classic Haulers came through for me and Candy is a fun lady to talk to.

I've looked at Carps's and Haulers and none have a radio **** for a 49 f1. If anyone knows where I could find one or how I could get my hands on one, I would appreciate it.

Do you have a stock radio for a '48-50? If you have an original radio no one makes the ***** for the radio but the ***** for the '41 car will work, they are identical to the truck radio ***** except the flat disc under the ***** are clear, the trucks are brown, easy enough to change.

You can get them from any of the reproduction places, the part number is in the picture.

I do have the stock the radio and I've seen the re-production and the **** is for my dad's truck actually and we're just trying to find one from maybe one that's sitting out in a yard somewhere. Thanks for the info.
