Don't give me any ideas, LOL. I can't afford $1500 for an intercooler anyway. I did see some turbo Volvos at PNP that still had intercoolers but I doubt they would fit the IDI. If I found an intercooler, I would like for it to have the input and exit pipes on the same side so I don't have to run piping to the passenger side of the truck. But I don't know if I could even fit an intercooler in the front of my truck. I have the radiator, condenser, and two tranny coolers on either side of the front of the condenser. Not much space left up there.

No, I never did make the valley pan hole bigger. I have not noticed any leaks but in all fairness, I drive my truck a lot less than you drive yours. Are you sure the leak is coming from the turbo drain?

nah im not sure of anything lol.iv got to degrease the thing when i have a chance so i can watch to see where it's coming from.i thought initially it was the oil pan,but i got looking last summer and it appears to be higher up cus the starter is wet, though the valve cover looks dry.i'll be putting on another one of these kits soon and figured id double check to see if you run into issues for sure with the drain.guess not.that's good.though i suppose now that i know it can be a potential problem,it's likely wise to just go ahead and do it as i don't think it can hurt anything.thanks.

so yours has been treating ya good since install? man.i can't get over what a difference it made from n/a even still and here we are just about 2 years since we put 'em in Eaton! haha holy crap.time flies.mines running like a top issue free.well, yeah ok minus an oil leak (well, drip.far cry from a leak or i would have fixed it long ago lol) somewhere.
installed (same time as yours) April 2012 @ 85k miles.
currently (almost Feb) 2014 now @ 108k miles.

happy spoolin' brother.

You are right, it can't hurt to make the valley pan hole bigger. I hope your leak is as simple as the turbo drain and not something like a rear main seal. Then again, there are so many places oil can leak on these trucks. Luckily, I am still leak free.

The turbo does wake these trucks up a lot. I ask it to go and it says OK! I wish I had the Banks kit installed when I made the trip to MA a few years ago. It would have really made a difference in the mountains! Even that trip was about 3 years ago. Man, time does fly. Now I'm getting married in October and hoping to buy a house in the next few years.
