I doubt it, but figure out your MPG if you are getting worse MPG than normal it could be a possibility. Also whats your driving style (City driving or Highway driving)? If you do not complete the cleaning of the DPF (I.E. shut the engine off before its complete.) it could just be starting up again when you drive the next time. When I'm not towing my truck regens at 600 mile intervals (almost all my driving is highway). The normal regen intervals are anywhere from 150 to 600 miles. Also using a diesel fuel additive such as Diesel Kleen will help boost the interval times.

The mpg are actually up a bit - maybe the cetane I've used the last few fuel ups have helped with that a little. I thought it may be a up pipe issue but from what I've read - there should be some soot either on the firewall or engine block. I dont see any. I drive 90% highway about 50 miles daily. Is there a better way to inspect an up pipe other than looking for soot?

Like Senix says, cycle thru the messages. You would know if it is stuck in regen, it would be smokin hot when you stopped and shut it down, lots of poppin and cracklin sounds from the exhaust not to mention the ridiculous fuel consumption.

It does make all kinds of popping sounds when I shut it off. Haven't been back in it to scroll thru the messages. The best ave mpg I can get is about 12.5. That's on highway and going through town combined. It been at 3 different dealerships in two months so I would assume they would have noticed if it were stuck in regen but who knows.
