what year camper shells will fit my truck (74 F250)
I would like to get a camper shell for my truck but dont know what years are compatable with mine. I have seen some pics with the old trucks with the newer style shells on them, but dont know what truck they came off of. I have a 74 F250 short bed. Does anybody know if the bed dimentions are the same throughout the years?

well after months of searching I finally found a 70's camper shell for my truck. I found that all short bed trucks were the same basic size up until 97. I even test fit an 80's shell and found the the 70's rear of the cab has a significant forward angle to it. That created a problem because the 80's and 90's cabs are almost vertical, so when I placed the 80's shell on my bed it created a large gap at the top of the roof. No bueno! So I finally found a guy selling his shell on Craigslist 3 hours from my house. I made the drive and the shell was in much better shape than I was expecting for a 30+ year old shell. Needless to say it was a perfect fit and now I just need some paint and repair 2 small cracks near the windows.
the white truck carried the cap for the last 30+ years
