1966 F350 wishlist and information request
Hello everyone,
I have been lurking for a while as I rebuilt the 390 FE in my 1966 F350, and thank you for all the help and information you have already posted. Now I am planning some major modifications to my truck ( F350 2wd Dually with the synchronised granny gear manual transmission). I built the 390 FE .60 over with a 429 crank.
I would like to swap a 70's front and rear end as well as power steering unit and steering column. I would like to do this for the p/s as well as being able to find wheel rims. What year and model do you think will be most acceptable for this transplant?
I would like to install a 5sp manual transmission and am wondering if the richmond or TK500-600 models will work with the 390 crank I just installed.
Any information you have for me in this is greatly appreciated. I know you KNOW what you are talking about, and I look forward to reading and taking your advice.
