F-350 Dually vs F-150 Tug-o-War

Read it here: F-350 Dually vs F-150 Tug-o-War

Nothing wrong with some good Ford-on-Ford competition right? This time it's an F-350 and a F-150 FX4 trying to see who can pull who.

Looks like OBS vs SD. Still doesn't make it smart.

These articles are getting stupider by the edition. It clearly says in the video that it's an F-250, not an F-150. You can also hear the announcer say after the second pull that the dually broke it's front end.

The only thing I get from this is that driving skills are not so common.

truck tug-o-war to me is the same thing as walking up to your truck and hitting it with a hammer repeatedly..

its about the same level of respect.

i wouldnt hook my truck up to a atv to "tug-o-war" something.. its not about being a man, or anything, to me its just plain stupid.

My friend broke both front CV joints on his Dodge, but at least he had fun doing it high in the mountains. Front axles are not design to hold full engine power, at least not in most applications. I broke front gears on my 21HP tractor several times. All it takes is to have load in front bucket while in a hole and hit the gas on reverse.

There's a good idea....tug of war in 4wd on dry pavement!

Did they really think they would do that and NOT break something?

I did do kind of a tug of war once, but it had a purpose. The receiver hitch insert was rusted in place on my 95 F-150, so a buddy and I hooked up our trucks (he had a CCLB DRW 7.3) with no pin in mine and tried to yank it out (short chain so it wouldn't go flying) but it wouldn't budge. I ended up just getting a whole new hitch when I found a surplus store with a whole pile of them for $25 each.

Don't know of any front-wheel drive trucks with CV joints

If we are going to nitpick

Well, if you want to nitpick about English & grammar & spelling and what is most likely just a mistyping by the guy who wrote that article (who is just trying to show us something to look at) then let's look at what you just said:

The word "it's" is a contraction of "it is" or "it has".
it's - definition of it's by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

Which means you said: "...the dually broke it is front end" or "...broke it has front end."

Shouldn't we demand the same perfection out of you that you seem to demand of us?

Nope, he means CV Joints. GM also uses CV joints in their front ends, as do 97+ F-150s and Expeditions, 95+ Explorers, and 98+ Rangers.

Wow, thanks for that, never seen or heard of a setup like that before.

Guess I'm too old-school....
