There seem to be some very nice early 60's Ford fenders on some of these trucks.

This one looks too good to be in the junk yard.

There is a blue early 60's Ford in the background.

finally driving it, have a question

what if anything can i do, it has a 292 with a t98, is there a tranny with higher gearing (like a 5speed that will bolt in) or overdrive module that i can get. it seems like top speed is 40-45mph

I think that the first step would be to look at your rear axle gearing, likely it`s not geared for highway speeds. Check this forum out, it`ll explain it better that I can: Clutch, Transmission, Differential, Axle & Transfer Case - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums
Here is what an advanced search turned up on this subject: Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - Search Results
A similar situation to your`s is in this thread: http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/11...e-gearing.html
