My 2011 F250 had a payload of 2800lbs I think. I had 4000lbs on the hwy and while not feeling safe, it was fine. How about non hwy loads. How much have you guys loaded?? 2500 lb salt pallet good for a short distance??

 

I had 2,120 lbs in the bed. That was the max for me. Truck handled it fine.

I did overload my and had 2 cubic yards of top soil / composte in mine last weekend. I felt the truck handled it great but I was clearly over the 1620lb payload that my truck is rated for.

 

I was hauling 250 gal of water ( 2500 lbs ) with mine for over a year with no problem rides really nice with that weight.

 

2 X I have loaded a ton of wood pellets in my 150.
They are on a pallet 40lbs each x 50 bags.

The back end is a bit low with them on but no driveability issues.
I wouldn't do it regularly but I will do it 3 x a year.

I heat the house with wood pellets and burn 3 ton a year.
