Question 97 F350 Xlt 7.2 Loss of power/fuel

So picked up this truck from some family down in texas. Been sitting ona farm for a few years. So i got it back home in colorado. Did the basics new filters. Fluid flushed plugs wires etc. Then i noticed a couple weeks later that while im driving it will bog down slowly. Even when i put the gas all the way down it slowly looses power or fuel tell completly shuts off. Ive since then dropped bothe tanks and cleaned them out and did and injection cleaning threw bothe tanks. Well here it is a few weeks later and the problem is occuring again. Im hoping its not the injection system going out. Any and all advice is much appreciated. Im new to this type of truck but im deffinetly in love.

There is no 7.2L gas engine in this vintage truck, I assume you are referring to the 460 cubic inch (7.5L)?

Does this truck have dual tanks? If so does it happen on both?

Have you checked the fuel pressure while the truck is working and when it dies?

Sorry was typing on my phone. No its a 97 F350 Xlt crew cab 7.3l Diesel. Yes on the dual tanks and yes its happening on bothe. Ive havent checked the full pressure at all. New to diesels feel like Im looking at a alien under the hood. Its got legs arms and a head but alot is different. Ive noticed a few things first it almost always happens the first time threw the gears in the morning and will either bog out and die or Ill be able to pop in the clutch and push the rpms threw tell it idles out. If it dies it will have to sit for 15-20 mins before it will catch and start anything before that and it will just crank. Wierd as this is also noticed that it will bog out in 1st and 2nd anywhere in the gear but in 3rd it almost always bogs out at 2800-3000 rpms and in 4th it bogs out at 62-65mps. Im using this as a work truck for probably 4-6 more months before getting a new van and this will become my new baby lol. Thanks guys

Im not sure what plugs and wires you replaced on your diesel since it has neither, but in any event you want to have someone with a code reader scan tge truck for codes and drive around with it plugged in to see the pids. Could be a high pressure oil problem or lack of fuel supply.
