I run 295/70-18 Nitto Trail Grapplers on 18" HD's needs a little spacer. Only rubs when absolutely locked left or right. Tire is about 34.5" tall. Helper spring in front ans Air Bags rear with stock springs.

Do you have any close-up pictures of them on your X?

the silent armor's got the highest rating in both snow and ice in JP magainze/peterson's 2012 tire guide. The comments on tires.com and tirerack.com are both filled with positive reviews for them as being quiet and great in snow and ice. If they are available in a size that will work for me when I get bigger tires they are definitely on my short list.

I have been going back and forth between the two and I think my last thoughts were moving towards the silent armor.

i haven't bought wheels yet but I am also considering the falken wild peak A/T's. I had a set of older falken at's that wore really quickly but my friend has had a set on his frontier for a couple years now and they have lasted him 30k miles and are still going. And they have got really great reviews from magazines that have tested them off road. I don't do too much offroad but have got stuck a few times.

I have bridgstone duelers on my F150 and Expedition and really like them. I don't know if they are good in the load E range. I started to do some searching and people seem to like them also.

Just too many good choices.

To finish it off.

I don't like it when posting are not finished and I noticed I never posted what I ended up getting.

I picked up the goodyear silent armor 275/70 18 tires.

So far so good.n

I have been running them for about 9 months and no complaints at all.

Looks good! What are you getting for a rough height of those?

This is the measurement I took when I did the spring swap and got new tires.

------ 39 1/2 in the front and 42 in the rear ----

I am going to do some more measurements today for the suspension for another member so I will post the new results.

Is that what you were asking? If not let me know and I will get whatever measurements you would like.

Yes they are a bit difficult to find and they do come up every once in a while.

I try to post a link for them here on the forum when I see an add on CL.

I was a bit more fortunate and was able to find one for my spare.
