Data Plate Decoder
I have what I believe is a 1962 Ford F-100 Unibody.
I'm trying to find where I can decode the Data Plate that was on the interior of the drivers side door.
It says it was made in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
The numbers are this.
Serial: 111429A - 6661022L
Trim: 01
Paint: 1RR
Axle Ratio: 4.11.1
Series: F-F100
W.B.: 122
Engine: P-3
Trans: L/D
That's what is stamped on the plate.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Ford/Mercury trucks (thru mid-year 1968) that were sold new in Canada only were assembled at the Oakville, Ontario Truck Assembly Plant. Today it assembles Edge's, other Ford/Lincoln vehicles based on the same platform.
Assembled and sold new in Canada only: This had to do with tariffs between the US and Canada at that time. The tariffs were abolished in 1967.
> mercurypickups.com < / Has info for assembled and sold new in Canada Ford & Mercury trucks.
I can decode 1965 Canadian VIN's, Rating Plate codes, because the info is in the 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog.
But, there is nothing in this catalog for 1964 Canadian trucks, nor is there anything in the 1957/63 Ford Truck Parts Catalog for Canadian trucks.
While 1965 is similar to 1961/64, I'm not going to guess.
The following is EZ to figure out: It's an F100 'Uni" on the 122" wheelbase, has a 9" rear axle with a ratio of 4.11-1. 3 speed Ford light duty manual trans with syncromesh in 2nd & 3rd.
1961/62 F100's came with the 223 1V I-6 as standard equpment, the 292 2V was optional.
btw: I see you deleted a post in another thread inre to this subject. Don't bother looking at FTE's VIN decoders, because they do not decode any Canadian info.
btw, part II: 1966/68 assembled in Canada trucks use the same VIN, Warranty Plate and codes thereon as US trucks.

There are none in the 1957/63 Ford Truck Parts Catalog. I have a 1953 Canadian only Ford/Mercury Truck Chassis Parts Catalog (I bought it one ebay).
There are prolly more out there available for other years, the trick is, to find them.
