I know the question is for brad, but i have never personally seen a D44 equipped F250 and I have seen alot of Ford trucks.....
Also, the 39 axle code gives it away on it being a full float sterling rear.
The question is for the front axle. Yes Code 39 is a full float Sterling 10.25, that was never in question here. Read the link I posted earlier, it is quite common to find both D44s and D50s on the F250 models. The subject comes up every few weeks.
The only F-250's that got the Dana 50 were the ones that have an extended cab and those that came with the factory "Snow fighter" package. All others have a Dana 44 HD.
It has nothing to do with whether the truck is a light duty F-250 or not.

I think the ones with a 44 were mostly older-like late 80's early 90's vintage. Once you get into the mid 90's, every one I can recall seeing had a D50 front.
That is what I was looking for. As noted by Brad and others it looks like the early 90's and newer trucks have D50s. Thanks for clarifying the subject.

What does this "snow fighter" package include? My '96 reg cab has the D50 and I highly doubt it has this package.....
