OIL PUMPS?

Just wondering if I should use a standard volume oil pump or a high volume oil pump in my lightly modified 400? Thanks

Everyone has their reasons & opinions but in nearly 30 years of building 335's the only pump I will ever put in them with the 4x4 pan is a Sealed Power h.v.

yup you are right, splits opinions. My research suggests for non race use to use a standard pump and on a rebuild ensure your clearances are fine-with the possible exception of a HP relief spring to raise oil pressure (not volume). BUT as I have posted on a similiar thread, I wish I had a dollar for every build I've seen/read about/ been told about that had a HV pump fitted. They cant be too bad with the only thing being a potential to shear the dizzy drive pin from the extra load. Mark A. do you do anything different there as I have read that it pays to fit a second roll pin?
