Unhappy New Rotors rubbing dust shield

Hey everyone,
I just replaced my parking brake dust shield, inner and outer bearings, hub seal, shoes and rotors- but the driver's side, the dust shield is fine, but the rotor rubs up against the brake shoes even though the star adjusment is at it's loosest.

Of note, there had been some previous work done on the driver's side rear end and when I went to put the parts back together there wasn't an oil slinger in place. It was there on the passenger side. My Ford dealer was closed and the auto parts store didn't have a part listed, so not sure if that may be part of the issue?
Thanks!

I have had this happen before after replacing parts. I found that I had bent the dust shield a bit when removing it. No big deal but you will have to "bend it" a bit or let the rubbing piece "wear off".

Cool Dorman Dust Shield fit issue?

Thanks eberlestock. I've gone as far as hammering the lip of the inside of the dust shield to bend it in so it doesn't rub. It seems to be 1/16" too big. Has anyone else had this issue with the Dorman dust shield?
